Custom Wedding Monogram price? What is the price range? Mongrammers Need professional advice.?

I did a search on Craigslist for a personalized monogram for my wedding. I wanted a kind of a label that would focus on the boyfriend of my own person and property. The person I wanted to do my project $ 300 for the monogram appointment only. Is this true or is leaving the ball park – I thought much of it should be the design of the invitation, unless the date, thank you cards, etc. but the price was only for the label. Is this so, how much custom monogrammed cost? I am willing to pay for something I can give feedback to, staff and one of a kind to me and my boyfriend. But is $ 300 a lot? Note All i request is for the artwork and I look monogram sending it to a Kinkos type place to have printed.
