What are the best wedding party favors?

My boyfriend and I are in a position just yet for the wedding party favors. We are having a traditional wedding. We want to be right. What do you think would be appropriate for gifts?

I really like edible favors. Tasy are useful, people do not feel bad using them up or not wanting to keep them there forever, so I know I'm making truffles hand, placing them in jewel boxes in my colors with a little note in it, and place them on tables at the seat of all. Another one I liked best were little glass bottles shaped like maple syrup maple leaves (for a beautiful fall wedding). I've never been to a wedding with a candy bar, but it would be fun!
