Where can I get film developed in the UK and how much?
I have a digital camera, but I still love using my old film camera that uses Kodak Advantix film. The problem is that I have accumulated a total of 4 movies that need development. Boots costs £ 6 per film as £ 24 in total, which is too expensive for me. I was hoping to send Truprint but seem to have stopped developing films Digitial only do now. Any idea where I can get them developed for cheaper?
I would recommend Jessops, or other professional photo lab. I can well understand his preference for using film as is still the best means of achieving higher resolution, and can be processed very easily at home. I would the same, as I have a very nice set of lenses that are incompatible with the same brand of digital cameras. For many years I used a commercial enterprise in the UK to handle my film processing, providing an excellent service and are pretty inexpensive, but its photo print quality began to make very bad, and I made comparisons with the more expensive Jessops in a number of prints of the sample, and found they were much better. I think my research, that some or many processing laboratories of the film had made a partial change to digital techniques, and though they were (of course) doing chemistry to develop film negatives good definition, then stopped making the traditional optical image on photographic paper, and went to put the negative strip a digital display for copying to a CD to view / display on the home PC / viewer. These digital images are produced at a much lower level definition the full definition optical photograph because they are only for display on a computer screen or television. I was told (by a type Jessops) the digital standard was a trade recommendation. While obviously enough to see the vast majority of snapshots, photo processing, remains relevant and necessary for good quality, and more photos.

Fun in Acapulco
$9.98 In 1963 Elvis could still be energized by the music in his movies, and the production values hadn't yet descended to budget-crunching level. Thus the breezy pleasure of Fun in Acapulco, which sees the pelvis-swinger coming to life for a rousing "Bossa Nova Baby" and a clutch of faux-Mexican tunes. Nice scenery of the fabled resort, but the movie has a strange disconnect (which becomes weirdly fasc... |
